Bakong / KHQR at Homebet88win
If you have paid a shop in Cambodia by scanning a QR code, you have probably used KHQR, whichever bank app you opened. This page explains the system behind it — Bakong — and what it means when a casino cashier shows a KHQR code. As always on this site: the set of methods and the limits depend on your account; check in the cashier whether a KHQR option is offered to you.

What Bakong and KHQR are
Bakong is the national interbank payment system of the National Bank of Cambodia, launched on 29 October 2020. Accounts in it are held in riel or US dollars, and money can be sent by QR code, by phone number or to a contact. KHQR is the national QR standard (based on the international EMV format) that the National Bank maintains within Bakong. Its purpose is summed up in the idea of "one QR for all": a single code can be paid from the apps of different banks and payment providers. Bakong is sometimes described as a new form of money; the safer and more accurate description is a national payment system.
How to Deposit with KHQR
- Sign in to Homebet88win and open the cashier.
- Look for a KHQR, Bakong or "QR bank payment" option. If none is listed, this route is not available on your account.
- Enter the amount and confirm; the cashier generates a QR code for this payment.
- Scan it with your bank app or the Bakong app, check the amount, currency and recipient name, then approve.
- Keep the reference until the deposit is credited. If the code expires before you pay, generate a new one rather than reusing an old screenshot.
Withdrawals and Bakong
A QR code is a way of paying in. Payouts, if the cashier offers them to a Cambodian bank account, travel as transfers to an account in your name — which may itself be connected to Bakong. Before the first withdrawal, the operator verifies your identity and may ask for proof that the receiving account is yours. Open bonus wagering can hold a withdrawal regardless of the method. Our withdrawal guide covers the process.
Which app can scan the code
In principle, any app that supports KHQR can pay a KHQR code — ABA Mobile, the Wing Bank app, ACLEDA mobile and others. In practice, read the cashier's instructions: some payment pages are built for specific banks, and the recipient name shown in your app should match what the cashier displayed. If it does not, stop before approving.
Currency on the code
A KHQR code can request riel or US dollars. If the code is in one currency and you pay from an account in the other, your bank converts the amount at its own rate. Paying from an account in the same currency as the code — and as your gaming balance — avoids paying for the conversion.
Fraud to watch for
The convenience of QR codes makes them a favourite of scammers. A real deposit code is created inside your logged-in cashier for one payment. A code sent by someone in a chat, posted in a group or printed on a "promotion" is not, and money paid to it is usually lost for good.
